Each student who quali๏ฌes can receive a maximum of $15,000 from admission to graduation to help cover expenses during their course of study. Funds can be applied to tuition, transportation, laundry, apparel, food and other necessities. An average of 145 students are supported annually with multi-year scholarships.
The annual Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Bus Tour exposes aspiring college students to 11 of these vital and historic institutions, from Pennsylvania to Georgia. Over 500 students have attended since 2007 and over 95% earn acceptance to at least one of the HBCUโs visited.
Through its partnership with the Wharton School of Business, SCF provides ๏ฌnancial literacy and wealth building workshops to scholars, parents, alumni and community members. In collaboration with Block and Cash App, SCF has provided on-the-ground support to The Bitcoin Academy, a project funded by Jack Dorsey and Shawn Carter.
